My Sister’s Cottage Shipping and Return Policies:

Shipping Policy:

All items ship within 7 business days. If all your items are in stock, then we will ship your item(s) within 1-3 business days.

Pre-order items ship within 14 business days from order date (but can sometimes take longer unless notated otherwise on description).

We ship all our items through USPS priority. Once your items are dropped off at the post office, they are no longer in our control, and we take no responsibly for them. You will be emailed a tracking number once your order is shipped.

We offer FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS! Yep, you heard that right, but listen closely, as there are exceptions to this....because this is no small feat for a new company.

Return Policy:

We offer FREE RETURNS on an item(s) from your order, if you spent more than $100 on the original order.

We offer RETURNS AT YOUR COST for purchases less than $100.

TO START A RETURN...just go to our START A RETURN page or email us at, and we will process your return and email you a shipping label.

You MUST contact us within 15 days of receiving your item to let us know you would like to return an item, as this gives us enough time to be able to resell it (because our items do sell out fast, and we may not be offering that item much longer).

All returns are for store credit and will be applied to your account and do not expire. Sale items are not eligible for a return as they are a final sale.

*Sister’s Agreement: We ask that you do not return an item that has been worn, washed, no tags on it, etc. This includes but is not limited to, make-up, smoke smell, pet hair, perfume, deodorant, etc..  Do not use the shoe box as the shipping container (that is a deal breaker). You wouldn’t want us to wear your clothes and hang them back up in your closet, and we kindly ask the same from our sisters. 

If there was a problem when it arrived, that’s totally different. Please let us know at  We love you!!  

Exclusions for returns:

Sale Items

All sale items are FINAL SALE. We give them at lower prices in order to make room for new finds for our sisters. If a sale item doesn’t work out for you, perhaps you could gift this item to a friend or a family member?! If the item has a defect, please email us within 3 business days at

Personal Items

Personal items include bra, undies, basics, jewelry, slips, cosmetics, socks, swimsuits, etc. Would you like to wear underwear worn by a stranger? Girl, no way! If you feel there is a unique circumstance, please email us.

Washed Items

Please check the washing instructions tag found on the inside of the neck, inseam near the abdomen, or product description page.

Please note: “hand wash” actually means to wash it with your hands, not the "hand washing cycle" in your washing machine. We’d hate for you to lose a newly purchased item by incorrectly washing it.

If you are not completely satisfied with the type/quality of the fabric when you receive your item, just send it back for a full refund (please see above for refund instructions). A better option is to check the washing instructions on the product description page before purchasing!


While we wish there was a simple way to do exchanges, there just simply is not. Because our items sell out so fast, the best way to handle an exchange is to follow these steps:

1. Purchase the item(s) again in the size that you need.

2. Return the item you no longer want, and leave a note in the comments section of the START A RETURN page to apply the return credit towards your next purchase.

3. When we receive your return, we will refund your credit card up to the amount of your new purchase (or we can leave the credit as an account balance to our store).  Please state what you prefer on the return notes.

Defective and Damaged items:

We are so sorry! We are not perfect, and we don’t claim to be. We try to carefully inspect all our items before sending them to our awesome sister’s, but we can sometimes miss things. We want to make it right for you! The return label is on us.

Defective items MUST be reported via email within 3 days of receiving the item. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you send back a defective item without first informing us, it will be considered "wear and tear" and no refund will be given.

Please follow these steps for defective items:

1. Please email us at with a picture of the damaged item.

2. We will then email me back with return instructions.

3. If we still have the item in stock, we will send you another one, once we receive the damaged one back from you. If we no longer have that item in stock, we will let you choose another item or give you a store credit.
